Chesterton is always spot on in such matters, isn't he? It is easy to think that things were so much better a hundred years or so ago, but really, that is when a lot of wrong and dangerous ideas started gaining groud, especially amongst the well-educated. The society we have now is just the logical result of the turn society took then.
