Truth in Journalism

Source

Pope Benedict XVI urged journalists to "courageously serve the truth..."

That is certainly the way it should be. Pity the phenomenon is so rare.

"The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors."
- Thomas Jefferson

"News is what a chap who doesn't care much about anything wants to read. And it's only news until he's read it. After that it's dead."
- Evelyn Waugh
